Williams Racing have become the penultimate team to reveal images of their 2020 Formula 1 challenger.
The 9-times constructor champions hope the “evolutionary” FW43 in a new-look sets the team on a path of ascendancy after dismall showings in the last two seasons.
Deputy team principal, Claire Williams commented “This year marks a fresh start for the team. We have spent time addressing our areas of weakness and have ensured that we have the right people, structures, procedures and resource in place to deliver competitive race cars.”
She continued “We are all committed to re-building Williams and returning the team to competitiveness. As such, our 2020 campaign is about making progress. The fighting spirit is still very much alive, and this year, everyone will continue that fight until we get back to where we want to be.”
George Russell, partnered by Canadian rookie Nicolas Latifi, will have the responsibility of driving the team forward on track this year. Latifi makes the step up to F1 after finishing as runner-up in Formula 2 in 2019.
